I’ve spent the last few days watching every single Facebook “look back” video that’s been published to my newsfeed, soaking in pictures of smiling people, life achievements and a subtle hint that I may not value things 90% of my network values. While I’m not necessarily annoyed at these videos, I’ve noticed they appear to target a very specfic demographic. This means that those of us that want to share our Facebook memories are forced to see these events flashed before our eyes in a way that falls well short of demonstrating just how exciting our lives are. As a result, I’ve been forced to create my own “look back” video in lieu of using the convenient option Facebook has given me.
